Ambassade

Ambassade is a contemporary interpretation of the Art Deco style that emerged in France. The edition takes inspiration from the furniture designs by Emile-Jacaues Ruhlmann and Jules Leleu, the elaborate ironwork of Edgar Brandt, and the couture of Paul Poiret, as well as jewelry and timepieces from Cartier and baccarat.

The edition comprises 27 designs. There are geometrics, animal prints, and op-art spirals -all Deco trademarks. Some of the florals in the edition are inspired by stunning vintage fabrics. As it typical of Edward Fields, many of these designs are finished with a frame.

One of the most modern features of the Ambassade Edition is the variation and juxtaposition of fibers within it, The edition employs New Zealand wool, jute, and several qualities of silk, and combines them with varying pile heights and contrasting tufting techniques. Texture is fundamental to design; ultimately, Ambassade is distinguished by its integration of the visual and the tactile the synchronicity of touch and sight.
